What Is Acu - Laser Therapy?

Cold Laser combined with Acupuncture A cold laser is basically a focused beam of light that emits photon energy. When the light is focused properly, all of the photons are traveling in the same direction and at the same wavelength; this is known as coherent light.

 The word laser is an acronym for Light Amplification by Stimulation of Emission of Radiation, which accurately describes how the light is organized as it comes out of the optical diode. The word radiation in this context means it radiates or emits light (no harmful radiation is produced).

 Cold Lasers (also known as Low Level Lasers) are different than the more publicized heat or hot lasers that are used in many surgical procedures to cut and cauterize tissue. Cold Laser do not have any thermal effect and are used to stimulate tissue rather than destroy tissue. These types of lasers have been in use for over 25 years and there has been no recorded side effects.

Recent medical research verifies Cold Laser Therapy can be a very effective solution for treating pain and healing injuries without dangerous drugs or surgeries.  HOW DOES ACUPUNCTURE WORK?

Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and  improve function. This is typically done by inserting needles at very precise acupuncture points. New technology allows us to use lasers instead of needles at the acupuncture points.

The classical Chinese explanation is that channels of energy run in regular patterns through the body and over its surface. These energy channels, called meridians, are like rivers flowing through the body to irrigate and nourish the tissues. An obstruction in the movement of these energy rivers is like a dam that backs up in others.

The meridians can be influenced by stimulation of the acupuncture points; the laser acupuncture unblock the obstructions at the dams, and reestablish the regular flow through the meridians.         

 Acupuncture treatments can therefore help the body's internal organs to correct imbalances in their digestion, absorption, and energy production activities, and in the circulation of their energy through the meridians.

The modern scientific explanation is that treating   the acupuncture points stimulates the nervous system to release chemicals in the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These chemicals will either change the experience of pain, or they will trigger the release of other chemicals and hormones which influence the body's own internal regulating system.

 The improved energy and biochemical balance produced by acupuncture results in stimulating the body's natural healing abilities, and in promoting physical and emotional well-being.
